The Swanton Industrial Park is located west of Route 78 and adjacent to the New England Central Railway on the west side of the river in Swanton, Vermont. This industrial park is a relatively large, full service park that contains numerous industries. This park consists of approximately 70 acres of land that is mostly developed. Industries located in this park include, but are not limited to: New England Container; Sunhill Foods of Vermont, Fournior Door & Window, Cargill-Nutrena Feeds, Mylan Technologies, and Leader Evaporator. Currently, the only available land within the Swanton Industrial Park is 4 acres owned by Rollie DeVost. This project is a full service industrial park which includes municipal water and waste water services, three-phase power, and natural gas. This project is accessible from Vermont Route 78 and is located approximately two miles from Interstate 89. Vermont Route 78 is the main east-west highway between upper New York State and northern Vermont. The industrial park is also located approximately eight miles (I-87 & I-89 Connector) from the Canadian border. This industrial park is currently Swanton's principal industrial park and contains much of the area's employment opportunities. Efforts are currently underway to increase the inventory of industrial land available within the Swanton community. |
